Chariman Emeritus: Jack Hammack bio
Chairman of the Board: Charles T. Terrell bio
Jack Hammack (left) and Charles T. Terrell just planned to meet with Dallas area leaders to share ideas on crime and public safety.
Their goal was to identify the root causes as to why, according to 2004 statistics, Dallas was ranked first in crime in cities with over one million in population.
Then, Hammack and Terrell pledged to seek the solutions and funding necessary to reverse those numbers so that Dallas would become the safest city in America within the next ten years.
One hundred and fifty meetings (and a lot of homework) later, Safer Dallas Better Dallas was formed as a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization.
Safer Dallas Better Dallas (SDBD) exists for one reason: to make Dallas safer for all of our citizens and not just those who can afford private police forces.
