Moving Forward

As Safer Dallas Better Dallas reaches the goals that we have set out for our city we will be sure to update you on the "Good News".
Most recently:
- As a result of a bonus system that Safer Dallas helped initiate, police recruitment is at an all-time high.
- Downtown Dallas is calculated to be 32 percent safer in 60 days as a result of the cameras that Safer Dallas provided. The original hopes were for a 30 percent decrease in crime within the first six months.
- Cpl. Nix's suspected killer's apprehension came about after he was shot with an AR-15 that Safer Dallas helped provide. DPD Chief David Kunkle said that he believes that the dashboard cameras that Safer Dallas provided will make it much easier to convict the suspect in a court of law.
- As a result of lobbying by Safer Dallas the Dallas city government has increased recruitment by offering a $10,000 bonus to new officers.
- Recruitment levels are at an all time high.
